Natron: Open-source Compositing Software For Mac

Natron is an open source node-based compositing software that relies on OpenColorIO for color management, OpenImageIO for file formats support, and Qt for user interface. It’s available for OS X, Windows and Linux, and offers 32-bit channel precision as well as support for OFX plugins. The project was launched in 2013 at Inria, a French national research institution, by Alexandre Gauthier. According to Alexandre, the idea behind the project is to foster diversity in audio-visual production and allow small-budget ones to make films with tools that have similar capabilities to those from the industry. Development has been progressing steadily, with many new features added with each release. Watch the and find out more on the latest release on.
